Auld allies and auld enemies

Will Scotland benefit from playing at home? Will Ireland be able to achieve what the world’s number one team were unable to do playing at Twickenham? Answers on a postcard. Or below the line.

  2. Simple first phase try for England after a good blind side fake from Billy off the solid scrum.
    Good game so far.
Afternoon all. Just back from, hopefully, my last work trip to Houston for a good while.

  3. Glad Henderson is getting the runout. He’ll be important for us in the WC. Good game from him too, so far.

  4. On the flip side Aki and Stockdale have been nowhere for both tries.
England punching big holes in us and offloading from the contact.

  13. Awful from Aki again. Ireland poor after a decent start.
And now a decent Healey is down.

Scotland/France was a bit of a downer, littered with errors. Slightly improved Scotland logically prevail over a French team incapable of producing two good consecutive performances as usual.
Main difference with the following game: both England and Ireland seem much better drilled than either Scotland or France.
England quite impressive. Power, pace, familiarity with each other. Serious contenders next month.. Ireland ( Stockdale especially) making glaring mistakes in defence.

Fuck’s sake; I’ve spent £8.99 to get a Sky day pass, and it’s fucking rubbish. Only just got it working.

Oh, now it’s working for the adverts.

That’s unusual, Thaum, Sky’s is usually the best sports stream, better than BT or Premier

Youngs absolutely on the ball here, May outside him in space , so he throws a (forward cut out pass to the 6 on the outside. Idiot.

    @flair,

Pretty strong side but first real hit out for many of them. No James Ryan, Toner on the bench.

    Most importantly, no Keith Earls.

    Still don’t care…!

These matches are for getting players match-fit, working out the combinations, making sure key players don’t get injured, etc.

That’s what I keep telling myself.

Happy run out for England, looks like Mako might be done tho. One combination in the backs looks to be set, maybe the first team. Even Daly looked pretty solid, but Brownie or Watson may well have nailed Aki. Ireland just rusty, shouldn’t take much from it.

Sweated my way through that game at m-field in more ways than one.

    Positives. We won

    Pack didn’t get minced

    The mish is a legend

We don’t half do some dumb play and big errors though. No use flinging the ball about if you pass it to the OPPO, drop it or miss the player

    Could easily have lost that.

    Drugz r bad

South Africa’s winger, Aphiwe Dyantyi, has tested positive for an unspecified banned substance but denies wrongdoing and has requested his B sample to be analysed.

The 2018 World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year tested positive during a Springbok training camp last month and said he was determined to clear his name.
