Samoa’s replacement props have really turned things around in the scrum, taking the Wallaby pack to the cleaners

For forty five minutes I had no worries about our gam3 with Samoa, their scamble defence was just about saving them from a real tonking, but a combination of Oz going runny and Samoa stepping up has got me worried.

22-15 to Australia, nearly 65 mins gone

Samoa struggling when Oz lift the pace, though it looks a bit frantic at times

    It finishes 34-15

Foley must have missed at least ten points with rubbish kicking

  4. Just danced with the bride-to-be who is with her hen-party in the Lenox where I am watching the match, and so she could win her forfeit. I’d like to think it was because I am the most handsome man in the building, but there is no Bundesliga so I was the only man in the building.

My face was the colour of Wales’ tracksuit tops.

    Good save by Kearney.

  14. Rory’s day is going great(!).

Nothing for CFT grabbing the Moriarty round the neck in the tackle?

Rory’s done his bit of ball-poaching. Perhaps someone could do the throw-ins though.

  19. Old Connacht midfield gave us that position. Henshaw’s looking sharp. Good try.

Patchell going off, but walking and hopefully fine.

  25. Yo, line out minging again, can’t get anything right in that regard. Otherwise this has been decent from us.

Word of respec’ for Pocock stepping down from internationals after the WC. One of the very best.

Wales read the game well and intercept, but another good save by Kearney (and Henshaw).

  29. That’s awfully big of Biggar, telling the ref he didn’t get the ball down.

Nice intercept and but for 1/2m more pace…

  30. TomFra going well, it must be said. No penetration on attack from Wales, and it’s an ongoing problem.

“As, Marina Hyde didn’t need to write that column. Nothing could “outfunny ” Johnson’s performance this week. She was able to get her customary 90s film references in so not all was a waste of time.”

If nothing else, the current state of the UK provides wonderfully fertile ground to maximise the output from MH. Guardian columnist and national treasure – can’t be a common thing.

Wales score. Good intercept to start it all. We should be miffed to be behind in this game but for all our physicality we’ve made far more errors than the visitors.

Sexton getting a taste of his own medicine at the end, going upright into Tips and being held up.

Decent half of rugby. No-one tried anything but the pace and biff and general effort were good.

Bit concerned these teams are knocking seven bells out of each other. Might be a few half-time subs and a drop in intensity coming up.
