Is a Yharnam one any better?

Well, on one hand, it means you are ruled by a godawful creature from the abyss, who bathes in the blood of the innocent and exports misery on both his own people and those abroad.

And on the other hand, there’s Yharnam.

Rey Lee Lo cops the same ban as Reece Hodge: 3 matches reduced from 6 thanks to biscuits and saying soz.

Just putting this out there for reference:

    England 45 USA 7

OK, but then if we’re doing that- Ireland beat the AB’s last time, and England beat Ireland last time but the AB’s beat England last time etc etc etc.

  6. Also, Italy Menz have never beaten England Menz.

    For reference.

Really wish the US had been more streetwise.

When Francis caught Hooley high from the kick off the ‘American’ should have gone down and some of the US forwards should have remonstrated with Francis, forcing the ref to stop the game.

Then Blaine Scully asks the ref to have a look at the video.

This is what the Tier One sides all do.

It was a penalty for absolute sure, easily a yellow and possibly a red.

A totally different start to the game.

Where’s CJ (other than Japan, the sonofabitch), cos this is right up his alley:

    @CAT

don’t worry, when one of The Blackness gets away with a high shot on a Red Rose Brave Boy and they win the match I’ll be on hand with plenty of sweetness.

I kind of prefer it when Ireland play a pro-Fave.

  19. Pro, to be honest my prediction that England would stuff the USA was based largely on your assessment of them: lots of big units, lots of them playing in European leagues, although few playing starring roles, and not much in the way of battle-hardened build up was never going to really test this England squad unless England had a horror day at the office. It would be great for the game if sides like the USA were more competitive and had better depth, but they’re still some distance off. My tongue in cheek dig at FD about Marcel Brache was only half in jest: he’s a journeyman at the top level.

Maybe they should have made a fuss about Francis early doors, but it would have made very little difference in the end. The English pack stuffed them at set piece and the rolling mauls, although they were pretty timid at the breakdown where the Eaglea were refreshingly good.

No disrespect to the Eagles, but they simply were never in it.

I read the Graun’s live blog of the England v US match. You lot are far, far better.

They don’t like it up ’em! ;-)

Just seen the American’s ‘tackle’ on Farrell. That’s the most obvious red card since the Samoan’s ‘tackle’ the other day.

Had to stealth watch the England game whilst at work conference (shocking scheduling that this wasn’t factored in as part of the day).

I’ll take that – still some handling errors (looking at you Joe C and Joe L) but thought we were effective and had some nice plays in attack and good in defence (other than the ridiculous last 2 minutes).

Daly’s confidence looks shot at just the wrong time, lots of poor decision making which you don’t normally get from him. Would like to see Watson/May/Joe C for Arg with Daly or Slade on the bench.

Think Francis could well have seen yellow and is a bit of lucky boy but at the same time not sure it would have affected the result.

Thought the US open play defence was good other than for the Ford try though – we had to really work for our tries.
