  1. TomP, I really hope Nyakane recovers. I’ve no idea why Malherbe is the starting tighthead.

  2. My feelings about the midfield are well recorded. Set in stone in fact. A little like De Allende’s sidestep.

Would be a big shame if Big Trev doesn’t make it.

I can understand why Rassie picks de Allende. He does make ground, just wish he’d pass once in a while.

Willie le Roux must likes seeing Cheslin’s mad skillz as much as the rest of us. He gave him one pass today down on his boots and Kolbe still caught it.

  4. Yeah, and if Willie had bothered drawing the man before flinging out that sloppy pass, Cheslin may well have been away.

Poor Wesley, I always enjoy watching him. I’ll have to console myself by watching Phil Davies’ LinkedIn XV tomorrow morning.

A Scottish-tinged view that appears to have Ireland as favourites?

    Can’t really disagree with that.

Although, for all his faults, I’d have Finn over Johnny every time.

Never mind the result tomorrow, I’m going to be hopelessly optimistic and say we’ll get out of the group. I mean, neither New Zealand or South Africa looked all that this morning…..

    (Ahem).

BB, I’m not sure I agree about all of the head to heads on there, where the big difference is, imo, is in the coaching box.
The Irish coaching team have proven themselves to be very smart operators, Toonie is still learning the job and our defence is notoriously non-existent at times, and it’s not because the players are bad defenders, our linespeed is half a yard behind what I see with other teams right now, it means we are constantly on the back foot.

BTW, any Shaun the Sheep is going to get my vote, but when the call it Farmageddon all bets are off, we are talking Oscars and Baftas at a minimum

Italy clearly the stronger team, but their handling has been really poor.
Another knock on with the line open, this one courtesy of a very poor pass

May their rugby never stain the Arms Park again.

I saw that if a game is abandoned due to weather it goes down as a 0-0 draw

Ticht, if it gets to half time, that score stands. A first half abandonment or cancellation and you’re right – 0-0 and 2 points each.
