I can’t watch the game so will rely on this place and the Graun for updates.

This is actually probably good news. I usually miss our best performances .

  8. Shit news for Ainu’u. Not nice when a scrum rolls over you and to end his match before 3 mins.

That ‘kid’ has started Euro games for Toulouse.

Think he might be able to scrum a little.

  15. Big Joe makes a break down the wing and gives it to Francis. He’s covered and his pass to Curry isn’t great. England recycle and Launch crashes up. The ball goes to Ford, who finds a huge gap and he scores under the posts.

    7-0

Bit easy on Englands 1st real attack.
Ford has kicked very intelligently. MacGinty has not and has squadered a good start for USA (scrum aside)

  22. England don’t pay enough attention at a ruck and USA almost turn it over (but for a knock on).

Piers Francis didn’t look all that at Edinburgh.

It was obviously Edinburgh where the fault lay

That said, should have cleared the ball there when he saw Kruis coming through

Amazing that, in the all singing all dancing ball in play modern game, the scrum is so important still.
If you cannot secure good ball on your own put in, you really are in deep trouble.
The modern front row protocols means the old “channel 1” quick heel doesnt give the get out it used to

    BS call.

Quill on his feet, not the tackler, Ford not releasing.

Why can’t they get these right?

    Like

  40. England pen, for not tackler not releasing, just outside the USA 22. Ford puts it in the corner, England set the maul and Billy has the ball as they drive over the line.

  46. @Utna – surprised USA haven’t held onto the little amount of possession they’ve had when their breakdown work is good. Too much aimless kicking.
