  1. This is pretty damning, regarding Aus rugby.

Very disciplined performance from England’s pack so far, YewEssAy really up against it

  3. 3rd try to England. Turn up the soundsystem*, ’cause it’s LCD with the ball over the line from another maul

    Fuckssakes Pro. That’s so rude.

  9. England’s pack is just too strong for the USA. To think neither Cole nor Marler was in the frame a few months ago, for different reasons and LCD gets the gig because Hartley’s injuries and form have done him in. Ford looking composed behind the pack, but I reckon I would too with that kind of armchair ride. Some clever kicks, varying the attack, but not honestly having to do too much right now. Not sure how the US come back from this.

For the US Quill and Lamborn in the back row have been solid in defence.

Iosefo has looked lively on the left wing.

Strangely for a former NFL fullback, Lasike has a good kick on him.

    McGinty has been struggling.

We need to do something to stop their maul.

Losing a prop to injury 3 minutes in is pretty shit.

And it’s quite a weakness, especially when I’d expect them to be up for the burly forwards stuff.
So far it looks like England could maul over from the 10 metre line.

That deserved a try from JJ himself, good feet

  17. Sinckler has a lovely set of hands.

Big Joe scores number 4, after JJ does a lovely pirouette through the USA line and almost gets to the line.

Got to admit, that annoys me. Ball was out, who cares if US scrum going backwards? Penalty if the ball dies in the scrum, fair enough, but in that situation it just wastes time.

Ah Ruaridh, what could have been, laddie

  24. Ruaridh McConnochie scores England’s 5th. They get a pen from a scrum centre pitch and quick tap and go left. They ruck a few times and pull in defenders before switching right. JJ makes some space and then passes to the winger to score.

USA have been overwhelmed by a stronger, more organised team but the Eagles have shown plenty of spirit and resolve.
Hope they manage a consolation score, but not sure where it will come from

Daly playing himself out of the 15 slot, I think

  34. Ooh, England are lucky there. Wilson drops the ball from the kick off, but it goes backwards. USA drive up to the line, but Scully concedes a penalty.

Then something happens off camera and it’s a dust-up.

JJ has been excellent. Loathe as I am to post an opinion on England centre selections, I think Tuilagi JJ is a fearsome combo. Make a choice for 10 between Farrell and Ford, with the other on the bench, and play the most threatening centres

Stupid from Quill, who up to now has been USAs best forward. No need at all for that and rightly dismissed. Game is lost, now he will miss winnable matches in the coming rounds.

  41. Joe Cok *this* close to a try. Faz pokes a ball through and Joe tries to slide and take the ball over the line, only for the impact of a USA player to spin him and dislodge the ball. Good defending there.

First try aside, which was soft, USA have been good om defence. England have had to work for their tries.
Pity USA couldn’t get much ball to relieve the pressure put on their defence.
    England very accurate though

Deebee’s 45 point difference looks prescient. USA’s inability to hang on to any ball in the England half, let alone do anything with it, ruled out any real contest. Wouldn’t call it a non event, though.
