Well, it’s a marvellous month for a World Cup

Week One has provided some excellent rugby, dodgy refereeing and unfortunate injuries.

I think we can all unite around Uruguay as WC champions.

Other competitions are also starting up, so cancel all engagements and be prepared to spend your entire weekend and parts of the midweek glued to the screen. Hopefully not literally.

For those of you who lack rugby preparation skills, let me remind you to order in adequate supplies of booze, fags and possibly food.

France are amazing. Tries from all over the field. England should be quaking.

Serin has made a huge difference since he came on, he made the first try through his breaking runs off the base and now he scores the BP try

Ah well it looked promising for a while there.

France v Tonga with the short turnaround could be interesting…

  13. This could be good. Normally the French start playing well after their wc implosion so hopefully they’ll save that till after they play us.

The Americans are reinventing the offside line. Ref doesn’t give a monkey’s.

Whilst the scoreboard has been close at times it was only because France were playing very poorky, USA never looked capable of doing what France did for their scores

(I am actually more bothered by our unenergetic hour rather than dodgy reffing at the weekend, but I’m bored and need something to chat shit about)

French salauds. I had France by 16 on the ‘bru. They can’t even get that right.

@Ticht – that’s true, but maybe slightly negative? USA a decent side in several ways. They do lack firepower, though.

I saw slightly negative, but it’s the same issue that very much sets Japan and Fiji apart from other Tier 2 sides (and is why Italy are firmly at the foot of T1).

    Probably us.

France hold the Americans tryless. Far far better than England managed.
