What does this beauty spot have in common with the England 23 selected to play Ireland on Sunday?

The only other exciting news to report is that Ticht found an old version of AoD still extant.

Johnston probably would have played a lot for Munster this season had he stayed – with Carberry and Bleyendahl injured.

Though at the rate he’s going- every 10 at Munster is going to have to shift over for Dan Crowley.

Glasgow overcome the Dragons by 34-19 in the end. Another good win for us, keeping the pressure on the teams above us. And I think if Ulster won, we go above Cheetahs into 3rd!

FRA airport to HD is less than an hour by train, probably with a change in Mannheim (but just from one platform to the other – 1 minute walk).

I can help if you need transport help, also a spare bed with the cats if you have no chance to arrange accommodation.

    Well quite.

    Hope Ollie Griffiths survived intact.

That early afternoon merriment faded soon enough.

Oh I don’t know. An efficient win (to nil) with a class try from Hoggy, followed by a cracker of a match in Cardiff, followed by a bonus point win for Glasgow have all combined to make me quite happy, thank you very much. Also Glasgow had an 18 year old scrum half starting tonight, and after giving away an interception try in the first minute, he recovered well enough to get MOTM. Looks like George Horne is yesterday’s man….

Getting slowly, slowly, oh ever so slowly drunk with Fance’s win in Cardiff. Finally, not snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Specially vs Wales.
Still lots of work to do for Galthié. But the composure shown by this very callow team (and not so callow coaching team) bodes well for the future.
    At last.
Now, let me get out this Cuban rum and cigar I’ve been saving for too long.

Well, that was quite some game. Well played France. 10 points across the park for me. TT getting shit , but he is mercurial, so you get what you pay for, Penaud better but injured?
Tompkins looks good, got a spark the backline needs, George looks done, so Zammo should get a start. Talupe is a shadow of his former self, and Ross M has lost his mojo, why is he starting? Its a bit like Ruan Ackerman for Glaws, he is getting a lot of game time, but not producing.
Love that one performance at one scrum by one new prop probably won the game.He can dine out on that for life.
Probably the best two teams in the tournament, but Wales old guard, and France the new. Tomorrow should be the playoff for 3/4 spot, and may well be.

Best two teams in tournament? Mmmm…
Wales have already lost two games. And not by accident.
Ireland’s still unbeaten, and England only lost one. One of these may still win the 6N. Both will finish ahead of Wales.

apologies to welsh friends but thrilled for the french team yesterday.
followers of top 14 will know how good some of those players are and galthie’s team seem to have found the magic potion that encourages them to play for each other.

now looking forward to a belter this afternoon.

They did some really good things and the defence stood up well for the most part. What’s helped them a lot so far is a pretty good kicking game, very impressed by that. Also, Willemse is far better than he’s previously been for France and le Roux’s been first class.

A big thing for them has been the fast starts. After 20 minutes it was 17-0 v England, 15-0 v Italy and 10-3 v Wales. If they can keep that going they’ll be looking good for the Championship.

    Sunbeantim, I wasn’t underdogging.
What I meant was that France is probably one of the best two teams in the tournament but I don’t think Wales is the other one. IMO, it’s Ireland or England. We’ll see this afternoon.
That Biggar is Birdman thing is quite funny.

Too close to call. If Ireland play smart, and they usually do, they have a good chance. If England play smart, and they sometimes don’t, they can win. Hope it’s more like Wales-France than Italy-Scotland.

It’ll be 3 away wins in a weekend.

A quick look suggests the 3 away wins in a weekend hasn’t happened since Round 5 in 2006 – same fixtures in same sequence but all on one day. May have missed another time it happened.

I’m afraid I shaved my head and trimmed my beard this morning, which is always prelude to an England defeat. Sorry, England supporters!

I’m still savouring what a belter of a match that was yesterday. Great to see France resurgent, though I’m sure that feeling will soon pass. Ntamack rightly got the main plaudits yesterday, but Dupont was excellent again as well.

    ANTOINE DUPONT 7

This was game as much about guts, passion and unerring commitment. His tackle that stuffed a Welsh move in the 44th minute was massive. Not unlike the toxic pollution that emanated from his namesake chemical company in the US, he appears to be everywhere.

Watching Lyon vs Racing. Finn has been honking. Just like last week vs Toulouse. His delayed passes are so delayed he either gets caught or the receiver can’t do anything but go to the ground.
I never thought I’d say this but at the moment Scotland might be better off without him.

Dunno, Hastings wasn’t great yesterday. Maybe all that expectation is now getting to him. He is usually a reliable kicker but he looked a bit panicked at times yesterday. If the play doesn’t pan out the way its supposed to, he often seems not sure of what to do next.
