What does this beauty spot have in common with the England 23 selected to play Ireland on Sunday?

The only other exciting news to report is that Ticht found an old version of AoD still extant.

And unfortunately – I can’t make the Heideberg festivities. I’ll be in London for a friend’s 60th birthday party on 7th and 2 consecutive weekends on the lash is probably pushing it from almost every aspect- financial, familial, health…..

  2. And there’s still time for the ‘almosts’ and ‘maybes’ on here to finally take the plunge and head to HD for the 14th March.

Might be the last chance before climate change, plague, pestilence, war and strife kills us all anyway.

  3. Mildly devastated Trisk, but understandable. Shame you can’t make it.

North is especially concerning because his lights go out immediately. I think I’ve seen it happen 3 or 4 times now when the impact knocks him cold for a minute or two. His game and mental state must have been affected by such a threat / sword of Damocles hanging over him all the time.

Think the Italy home games are at risk in the 6N too. I guess they’ll just share points if they’re cancelled.

that would be the end for the England challenge (which may well end in the next game anyway of course)

Why wouldn’t they postpone them until they can play, like they did with foot and mouth in 2001?

Superrugby is kak-boring to watch – even on TV, mostly as the ground are empty and no atmosphere. So I’ve been limiting myself to Anton Taylor’s 5min round-ups (SA teams only) every week. Not as detailed as Squidge – in fact no analysis at all. But more entertaining than an empty ground.

We have no idea when the covid-19 outbreak will be under control. End of January there were 1,000 cases. Now it’s something like 80,000, and likely to be an under-estimate.

88,000 in China I think, plus recent outbreaks in S Korea, Iran, Italy etc. Seems to be a concerning escalation of late. Not over by a long shot.

The issue might not be over by then. I’d be surprised if they did that and crossed their fingers they wont be in the same position or worse on the re-arranged date.

Think they’ll cancel and review next year when I vaccine should be available.

It was crap when they delayed it for F&M. Ruined the whole championship. Mainly since we lost obviously.

  34. @YOSOY Pivac will pick McNichol who has done f..all to suggest he is international class. North, who should probably think about retiring due to numerous head-knocks, might be out as well. Pivac will then pick J McNichol on the left wing, and Jonny McH on the right.

McNicholl is a nice footballer, but he’s not good enough at anything to be anywhere near a good international player.

I expect he will win many caps under this regime.

Ireland were the last team to be behind at half time in a 6 Nations game but go on to win the match.

Tough question cos you have to suspend disbelief that Italy might be ahead.

  43. Just caught up from yesterday. The freedom of speech thing reminds me of the ‘crowdsourcing for punks’ thing Brewdog have done a few times.

Basically, you are given the opportunity(!) to purchase a minimum of 2 ‘shares’ (£45 each) in the company. Except, you don’t own any of the company, you don’t have voting rights or a dividend but you do get yearly free beer if you remind them.

    £29 is amateur.

Compounded by the fact that it’s a public holiday here, but client insisted we come this week because they have a board meeting in two weeks and need the report before then. For a potential investment in excess of $200m! The worst part is, this seems to be par for the course with a lot of large companies – they simply don’t plan properly and then expect us to produce miracles in a matter of days. Think I’m gonna find the bar and have a beer instead.
