One week to go. One week to go, and nothing’s been cancelled yet. Is that wise? Possibly not, but we can all agree that Six Nations is more important than life or death itself – unless personally affected.
Meanwhile, there are a couple of matches to keep us entertained until then.
If purely economic arguments won everything then Brexit would never have happened
The red tape thing may sway some against independence, however theres now an administrative boundary down the Irish sea and now moving stuff to part of the UK is now a ballache apparently
He believes that many larger mid-sized firms in the UK have actually forgotten how to export properly because for years their market was the EU which was “akin to sending a parcel to Ipswich” and as such they’re having to relearn export procedures and processes.
Absolutely the case. Part of the problem is that it wasn’t clear what the rules were going to be from 1st Jan until very late in the day so it wasn’t possible to get yourself sorted. But having said that if a company can get AEO certified then most of these issues disappear and you can have almost seamless passage into and out of Europe. But hardly any UK companies have AEO certification, whereas loads of Germans ones do:
I would humbly submit that I would rather have Pollard at 10 thanks. I’m sure the Kiwis would have something to say about that as well, not to mention the FinnFans.
What Squidge has stumbled on here is that Ford effectively plays like a very good RL half back. All of these other world class 10s have a different style to him which makes him stand out a bit.
Farrell plays like a playmaking RL loose forward without the bosh.
Am not going to watch it again but it’d’ve been more interesting for me for Squidge to look at matches/times where the Ford magic didn’t quite work.
He rather brushes over the 2019 World Cup final. Some analysis of what Ford did or didn’t do in that long attack England had in the 22 in the first half would’ve been interesting.
It’s not really a video that explains why he is the best in the world as it doesn’t compare him to other players. It is a very interesting analysis of how he plays.
I’d be somewhat disappointed if we beat our 60-odd point humping record of a few years back *shudders*. However, much as I hate to say it I expect a reasonably solid England victory. Boo.

This isn’t a shock and moreover I saw trade experts that I followed on Twitter make much of the same point ….
I can recall – back in mid 80s working for a university research spin-off, we got a contract to do some surveying (measuring road surface temps in order to predict icing) in France – organising the carnet from scratch to “export” our equipment was a big enough task as a one-off – I had to learn the process from scratch (and IIRC there was a bond we had to lodge – so that had to be sorted out with the bank)
M62 is closed between junctions 21 and 22 due to snow. That means the entire M62 traffic is running past the main road off the bottom of my folk’s house, which is nice.
we used to live in Whaley Bridge in the late 70s/early 80s.
my route to work was via Pott Shrigley – those that know it will now also that it always catches snow.
One evening I had to follow the snow plough – the sidewalls of cut snow were way over the height of my car (a much loved scimitar) and the old house at the top of the hill, at the junction with Macclesfield rd was completely covered by snow………,
Home school taking a break this afternoon apparently & everyone else watching a movie. ‘Make some lunch for us’ was the request. ‘Make yer own frigging lunch’ was my response. Honestly, the cheek.
Slade, I saw most of it.
Frantic first ten minutes, then dull as ditchwater for 20′ until ASM stepped on the gas and seemed to control the game.
Second half saw Bordeaux slowly grind their way back into the game until ASM levees just gave up. Great last 10 minutes.
Ach.. so little rugby to watch these days.
Thanks Refit for the Bru thing.
About the 6N, lots of injuries in the French XV : Chat, the well named Gros (he’s a prop), Atonio, Alldritt, Ntamack, Vakatawa, all out. Luckily France start with Italy.
“One shining light in the Scarlets v Leinster debacle. I see TMHMIR™ produced a classic outside-centre break to set up a try. It’s all there, ball in two hands, head up to spot fatties out of position, pace for the gap, drawing the fullback and a perfectly timed pass.”
It didn’t matter as the game was lost already, but his defending towards the end, especially along with Angus when he came on was absolutely hopeless.
BB, hasn’t affected your posting. Has it saved you from taxes though? Very clever if it has.

That AEO sounds like the sort of red tape that leaving the EU should have done away with. Ah, well, Sovereignty.
