Three years ago, we were in Bilbao for the Challenge Cup final. What a difference a pandemic makes. Also, the sun was shining, at least in Spain.
Regarding the Little Cup, Flair99 says: “To find Montpellier there is quite stunning, they’re fighting to avoid relegation, and they’re certainly not pleasant to watch. How about Leicester?”
Same, Flair, same.
La Rochelle v Toulouse will undoubtedly be a more interesting match. I’m calling it for La Rochelle, because I would like them to win.

The end of QI tonight had a story about a student who woke up, hungover, with “Brian is a twat” tattooed on his arm.
He has no idea who Brian is.

I like it Ticht! The rugby here has been slow to get up to speed, no doubt about it. Luckily for us, a good chunk of the Bok side is playing in Europe at the moment, so will be at least at the pace and level of the B&I Lions. We’ve still got a few weeks to go in the domestic stuff and then warm up matches, so after such disruption in the last 18 months, I think we’ll be there. #ItrustRassie

SBT, that’s a manipulated picture. Male Lions have zero ability to catch a Springbok. Must have pinched it off his missus if it it real! Lazy, entitled man!

Ricardo Loubscher says Ticht is talking through his sphincter! Also, some of our guys are playing in Japan, which is a much faster, more dynamic league that the ProWoo and left Ireland and Scotland (16 Lions between them) scrambling and defeated in 2019. Boks to win the series 4-0, with a bonus win for style.

Rassie is a meticulous planner and ain’t gonna put a half-baked side on the field. 4.5-0 with half a point for being such massive underdogs.

Cam Redpath has done his acl, likely to be out for the rest of the year.
What a pisser, that is two bad injuries in a few months, he was looking at being first choice at 12 for Scotland in the summer and November tests.

SA Super Rugby’s been all right. Trouble is they’ve all played each other 6 or 7 times in the last few months so it’s getting a bit familiar.
Also, in 2019 no SA side got past the quarter-finals and the national team won the pot.
Jacques Nienaber and Rassie’s problem is getting the team together from all corners of the earth for long enough to have them playing well. Before and during the 2019 RWC they were in camp for a long long time.

Ticht, Malherbe looked like that on his way to World Cup glory too. As did Tadhg Furlong on his way to a Q/F exit after losing to Japan as well. Thought you of all posters would appreciate the less than gym bunny look.

It makes a refreshing change to have Scotland fans take an interest in the B+I Lions.

Not that I’m suggesting you’re anything but in fine fettle, just that you’ve always admired rugby as a game for all sizes.

Just back from picking the lad up from school. Conversation turned to vaccinations and I made a horrible faux pas in asking one of the mums if she’d been vaccinated yet, forgetting that the age people can get register and get jabbed is higher in Ireland than it is in the UK and the Czech Republic.
