More Fun with Our European Friends

As I’m w*rking this evening, only time for a quick update on the televised matches.

The last person who criticised the brevity of my posts.*

Been really impressed by Taylor this season. Without wishing to go full turk hookers we’ve got decent options at 12.

Chimpie, I like Taylor and I like Dean, but I have to see us win some big games before I can be conned again into thinking Embra are anything more than mid to lower conference material, let alone a play off team

Wasps at home don’t count, Munster B away don’t count, I’m not nearly convinced yet, in fact I’m not even near thinking about being a play off side yet, in either competition.

We should have WP Nel back next week, that will help.

Really, the only reason to not vote Labour is that the SNP/Green/LibDem/Monster Raving Loony candidate stands a better chance of beating the vile shitehawk Tory in your constituency

There are websites available to guide where to place the vote to keep the Tory out, which is the main goal.

Hopefully the (non-Tory) Brexiters who feel let down by Farage not standing candidates against Tories will just not vote at all rather than voting for said Tory shitehawks. I think this is quite likely in a lot of cases judging from talk in the mess room at work. Don’t really like celebrating the idea of people not voting, but it is what it is.

    @TomP
He certainly did express himself clearly and confidently.
His openness about something that he was once afraid to share or admit makes him a potential role model, much as the people he mentioned were a model for him.
Maybe Folau will (should?) give this a watch…

I’ve just watched Dai Young’s post match interview with the Wasps in house tv guys, he is all class.

I was a massive fan of his as a player (prop first, country second), and I’m a fan of him as a coach, obviously I want for us to beat Wasps next week, but I wish him well, he is good guy.

I generally like Jonathan Pie as a funny thing now and again, but this one is important, please share in the hope it trickles down and gets someone to vote that other wise wouldn’t, because not voting is what that shite Johnson and his Bullingdon mates want you to do

I won’t post during games, but here is the next one.
I have others from the second album that I adore, but they are almost all “after hours songs”, this is a bit more upbeat

  17. Oh Saints. Excellent opening to the match, forcing Leinster back and turning over the ball in the 22. All undone by a terrible pass by Reinach. Larmour breaks from his own half and Lowe scores under the posts.

  18. Saints level it up. The most simple of tries, through the hands to Tuala, who scores right in the far corner. Good conversion by Biggar – with the sun directly in his eyes he gets it dead centre.

    7-7

  19. It’s end-to-end stuff at Franklin’s Gardens. Gibson-Park nearly scored, Reinach tackling him just short of the line. Ruddock does score off the recycle.

Keep us updated; I’m saving all my data for the Ulster match!

Craigs – sorry to hear about your job; that is really shit. In my experience, they always do this just before xmas.

My contract expires at the end of this month, although I’ve been told it will be extended until the end of March (the end of the financial year). Then we got an email saying not to come back to work until the 6th Jan (yay!), unless we are told we’re really, really needed (damn – well, hopefully not).

Watching Saints/Leinster with only the sound of the stadium and the refs. It’s a first for me. Fascinating stuff.
They’re constantly talking to one another, linesmen , TMO, and Ruiz himself, mostly in French, switching to English as soon as they have to communicate some official decision. What Ruiz misses is immediately spotted by the TMO but they mostly let the game flow, knowing they can always go back to the advantage call. Great team work.
I like Ruiz, he’s good in the Top 14. Hope I don’t jinx him.

Sexton out with a knee injury, apparently.

16/31 for Leinster. Both teams with a YC.
Saints just knocked on 2m from the Irish line.

Northamptin don’t really play bad but they repeatedly knock on and they seem to be powerless in front of the excellent Leinster defence.

  44. Watching the Drags Flair style, feels odd at first but not bad.

Big downside is the everlasting blast of Matea’s whistle. I missed it but future Wales Legend Basham has been red-carded for a tip tackle, I missed it so can’t comment on it’s rightness. 10-10 at the moment but awfully hard to watch when you feel the cards are stacked up against you already.

  45. This may be a tick biased, but I really feel the player frustration coming over with each blast of the whistle.
