More Fun with Our European Friends

As I’m w*rking this evening, only time for a quick update on the televised matches.

The last person who criticised the brevity of my posts.*
*Or possibly the one who said they preferred the short ones.

I have to get up very early so I’m going to leave it after this feel free to carry on, or pick it up tomorrow.

Don’t really know The Black Rider so on to Mule Variations and Slade’s already had Hold On so I’ll have to pour on some cold water:

    No beavers mentioned, but still interesting;

After hitting a dog with his car, a Canadian man drove it to safety. Turns out it was a coyote.

  7. Good on him LADOAB! You wouldn’t find Nigel Wray doing that.

Nonsense. Nigel Wray would start up a business for the coyote to help it with its future.

Afternoon folks. Ulster very lucky yesterday, IMO. Lost most of the physical battle. Not the ones involving McCloskey, obviously. I think that can be improved ahead of next week, but we are going to their place and also I don’t think we can match their scrum, at all.

The level of rugby is piss, but Tomos Williams is stratospheres above the highest level.

Gloucester 22 dro out right at the end of the first half. You have to play the ball, ref tell Cippers, at least 3 times. So Danny runs along the 22 and kicks the ball out on the full.

I’m sure Kitson will find a way to spin that into Danny For England in his next article.

Great Tom Waits effort, boys. Saw him in Paris Grand Rex theater about 15 years ago. One of the best gigs I ever attended.
Saw the Dan Evans incident yesterday. Why a player would extend his leg and throw it in his opponent’s face quite some time after he caught the ball is beyond me. Glad he got red carded, it should never happen on a rugby pitch.

Wow! Odogwu acted twice as an arsehole. First by fly kicking his opponent and then by laughing at the ref. Hope he was seriously punished by the citing commission.

Cipriani a bit like Finn Russell. Wonderful and crap in a matter of minutes. Still, a great watch. Probably difficult to understand even for his partners.

Final score 26/17 for Gloucester. BP for Glaws, not sure it will be enough to qualify. Connaght basicaly ran out of steam.

Interesting couple of minutes for Hoggy. Almost scores one try (which is then given as a penalty try), does score another (his first for Exeter I think) but injures himself and is off for an HIA.

Hoggy fails his HIA, but Exeter well on top – 3 tries to 1 so far.

Toulouse/Montpellier under heavy rain not really enjoyable. Slow and filled with unforced errors. François Stein at FH is useless.

A ruthless first half display of converting chances into points guided Wales U19 to a 31-12 victory over Scotland at Ystrad Mynach this afternoon in miserable weather conditions.

Weather has been honking bad in South Wales today.

Also good to see a return to U19 international rugby. Should be a decent stepping stone for those who don’t develop quite as quickly and get shoved up a year early, but I don’t know if there’s an aim for more fixtures.

  34. Great weekend for me personally – BlitzBoks won the 7zz, Miss SA won Miss Universe, Liverpool kept up the winning start, we’ve had spectacular rains over most of central South Africa, which should go some way to breaking the drought, confirmed we’re heading to my soulfood place, the Wild Coast after Christmas and had a bloody good curry courtesy of Mrs Deebee. Life is good.

  35. Should add, I don’t usually follow the 7zz or Miss Universe, but we won, so I’m mentioning it.

  39. They’re saying that 10 or more people are still stranded on the island so I have grave fears for their survival. Too risky for a rescue operation right now as they don’t know quite how bad/volatile the situation is. Lots of conflicting reports on the Stuff website e.g. stated visitor numbers to the island from 10,000/year to 20,000/year. No idea what the true number would be.

  44. Are we certain yet that Musk isn’t actually cunningly and unobtrusively trying to build a world-destroying e-rocket hidden in an island off the coast of an island nation routinely left off global maps across the ditch from another island no-one actually cares about? My sources tell me it’s called the Pedo-receptor and can self-destruct – cunningly – with a brick tossed at the impenetrable window. See what evil Pretoria produces.

Talking of outrage, the graun has an article on the Bhopal disaster. 3000 dead immediately, untold thousands more dead and suffering health impacts from the after effects even now. Barely a smidgeon of restitution for the victims or consequences for the company responsible. Pretty outrage inducing.
